MULTISTOREY CAR PARKS

PICnet is the leading product for the centralized management and control of multi-storey car parks and parking areas.
Application Examples

Lighting control

Through the PICnet system it is possible to intelligently manage the lighting system of the lanes and access ramps, optimizing consumption and therefore obtaining significant energy savings.

For example, groups of lights controlled by twilight sensors can be provided for the main entrances and for basic lane lighting and further lane lighting controlled by presence sensors or magnetic contacts.
When a car passes or an access door is opened, the zone lights are activated for a preset time. In this way, only the lamps that are actually useful will be activated for a time strictly necessary for entering and leaving the stand. Similarly, other measures may be envisaged to reduce energy consumption in the lighting of outdoor areas.

For example, using light sensors it is possible to activate the external lights divided into separate ignition groups in order to integrate natural light with artificial light strictly necessary to obtain the required degree of illumination.

Traffic light signage

PICnet systems allow to manage traffic light signs and any automations in the different areas of the car park. Using pairs of photocells or magnetic loops connected to the system's inputs, it is in fact possible to carry out real-time counting of the cars present in the stand and to drive the traffic lights accordingly.
By means of supervision or user variables of the Master control unit, the manager can in fact define the capacity of the stand and the activation thresholds for the 'complete stand' or 'free stand' signals of the entire complex or of the different areas.

Access control

With PICnet it is possible to manage the access of privileged users with reserved places, for example by installing access control modules with proximity transponder technology or even long distance, thanks to modules equipped with antennas for reading tags installed on vehicles.
The technology used places this product at the forefront of its sector since the identification card for access is made up of a normal credit card format card without magnetic stripe or electrical contacts. In this way, malfunctions due to damage to the magnetic strip or oxidation of the contacts are totally eliminated.

Distribution columns

PICnet can manage the enabling and accounting of consumption of any electricity and water distribution columns in the parking area. Each user can be managed independently through logics that can be defined by the manager, with accounting for the consumption of each individual user and the related amount charged to the customer.
Through the management software it is possible to view in real time the condition of each individual user, the amounts charged to customers and it is possible to change the value of the water and electricity tariffs.

Alarms reporting

Through PICnet systems it is possible to have remote signaling of any type of failure. All reports can be made locally, by means of alarm messages on the local supervision PC or on the display of the Master module, and remotely, by means of alarm messages on the centralized supervision PC or via messages and notifications remotely on any device.

It is also possible to interface the PICnet building automation systems with the security systems for sharing peripheral sensors, such as the sharing of window opening or presence sensors, and the implementation of operating synergies, such as, if a smoke sensor detects a fire principle, sends an alarm notification to the system, the lights are turned on at maximum intensity and the doors are unlocked.

Technological centers

Through the use of appropriate PICnet modules it is possible to centrally manage all the technological users of the system (thermal power station, pumping stations, air conditioning units, etc.).

Similarly, all the related technological alarms, such as tripping of switches, thermal relay tripping, technological alarms, alarm call for disabled bathrooms and opening of security doors can be signaled at the point of supervision.

All the signals can be sent via alarm messages on the supervision PC or on the Master module display. In the event of technological alarms, SMS messages and notifications can be sent automatically to the electrical or hydraulic maintenance technician of the system.

Supervision and control

The supervision and control of the system by the operators in charge can be carried out both locally and remotely. In the first case, a supervision point dedicated to the management of the site or the production department will be set up through a dedicated dashboard.

In the second case, supervision will be carried out through a web supervision platform which allows the supervision and control of even more plants distributed throughout the territory by multiple locations and by multiple authorized operators.
